Before taking my photos

Before I could even take my photo's I had to plan out what poses that I wanted my models to do and what clothes I actually wanted them to wear. As 'Kai Turner' is an indie artist I wanted him to wear popular indie clothing from lines such as Pretty Green and Fred Perry. I wanted him to look casual and cool.
I took my photographs for the front cover in the schools studio, where we had a green screen set up with professional lighting for us to use. The lighting took quite a lot of fiddling to make sure that there was not going to be any green reflecting onto my models and that the photos weren't blurry or too dark for me to edit.

Model

Yesterday I started to take photos for my music magazine. I used the school studio to take a few photos, the photo for my front page will be from here.

I used one of my friends for the main story of my magazine. He will star on the front page and double page article.

This is the chosen masthead for my magazine. This was decided from a survey including 40 people. This was the most popular design out of the 5 in the previous post. 20 of the 40 people decided they liked this more than the others.

This is my first design for my magazine masthead.

This is my second design for my magazine masthead.

This is the third design for my magazine masthead.
This is the fourth design for my masthead.

This is the fifth design for my magazine.

I have decided to make the masthead colour red as it will link in with my colour scheme and red will stand out on the page to make it jump out to the reader. I will ask 40 people for my survey and then the most popular design will be chosen for my masthead.

Title of Magazine

I asked the people that I used for my questionnaire an asked them which magazine name they preferred. The results show that Vibe is the most popular name therefore I will use tis for my magazine.
